Nursery Inspiration

Now that my husband and I are back from vacation, it is time to start thinking more about the little bundle of joy we will be receiving in October. :)

These are some of the rooms and items that have been inspiring me lately:

Overall Feel:

This was my very first inspiration for a nursery. It is the epitome of a woodland-themed baby sanctuary. I just love that canvas! And the pillows are perfect.

I love the simple design of this room. The small pops of color here and there are really powerful.

This is such a fun mix of finishes! The wood dresser, plush crib, shiny side table, and metal sign are a quirky mesh of elements.

I LOVE the over-sized frames above the crib!

This one is my current favorite!! The rustic touches of the crib and hanging birdcages mix so well with the sleek basket-filled cupboard. I also love the handmade mobile over the crib. It is a perfect finishing touch for such a nursery.

If only I could hang a rocker/hammock from the ceiling like this!

Incorporating vintage into kids' rooms

This is such a great example of how vintage can be used to create a calm, yet energizing functional display.

Changing Table Inspiration:

My husband and I have decided to refinish my old dresser into a functional changing table instead of purchasing a specially designed one. This should help save some money and serve a basic need longer than a changing table would.

I absolutely love the small vintage-style makeup case used to corral diapers and changing essentials!

vivi's room

The lamp is a great addition for late night changing when you don't want to completely wake up baby. I also like the variety of prints used to liven up the area.

PS. This is a photo from the blog Lay Baby Lay. She has the most adorable designs and inspiration boards for every kind of nursery imaginable! Check it out!

Henry’s Nursery

I love the pegboard here. What a fun was to keep your diapers within reach!

antler

I think an antler hook would be fantastic to hold some cute baby items.

Fox Pillow

Is this not the most adorable pillow you've ever seen? I would love for this baby fox to be sitting in my baby's nursery!

I am so excited to start putting together items in the nursery! We have the crib in (finally) and are slowly moving in the rest of the things we have :)
